In order to further strengthen the safety work of the college, create a safe, stable, and harmonious learning environment, enhance the safety awareness of teachers and students in responding to emergencies in the college, understand fire safety knowledge, comprehensively improve the ability to respond to emergencies, and guide safe evacuation in an organized and rapid manner. Our college conducted a campus fire evacuation drill for freshmen on May 18, 2023.
At 12:30 noon, Mr. Fu Jia, the deputy director of our laboratory, first organized safety education and learning, focusing on four aspects to explain fire safety knowledge to students, including the hazards of fires, how to prevent fire accidents, mastering the skills of fire evacuation, and campus fire evacuation drills.
During the evacuation and emergency drills, Teacher Fu Jia from the laboratory first introduced the escape route location of the college's virtual reality comprehensive experimental center to the students. Then, he asked the students to follow the teacher and evacuate from the safe exit of the laboratory, covering their mouth and nose with one hand and bending their body as much as possible to protect their head with the other hand. Before the drill began, he warned the students not to run or shout randomly during the evacuation process, No fighting or crowding is allowed to avoid panic and chaos. It is necessary to control the reasonable density and orderly evacuation to the designated location. With the sound of the drill alarm, students quickly evacuated in an orderly manner according to the evacuation route, achieving the goal of this drill.
Finally, Professor Fu Jia from the college summarized the campus fire evacuation drill and reminded students to strengthen their safety awareness. Safety is no small matter, and campus fire safety is even more so. We hope that students can always remember it.
