On September 23, 2023, the main venue of the Chinese Farmers Harvest Festival in Xuchang City was held in Changge. The teachers and students of the International Institute of Creative Design have successfully completed the planning of the Harvest Festival and designed two themed mascots - Maize Boy and Lotus Sister.
After two months of experience, teachers and students from the International Institute of Creative Design have completed a complete set of creative designs through demand analysis, on-site research, scheme formulation, scheme evaluation, and scheme adjustment. With the concept of agricultural revitalization and innovation, they have showcased the vitality of Xuchang's agriculture. At the event site, not only were there lively performances of gongs and drums, folk dances, and classic Henan Opera songs, but also multiple different display areas were set up according to the actual situation of Xuchang City, allowing visitors to fully experience the development of agriculture and the joy of harvest. The two harvest festival themed mascots designed by the college - Maize Boy and Lotus Sister - are deeply loved by the on-site personnel. They represent Henan Agriculture and Liancheng Xuchang respectively, and also reflect the theme of celebrating harvest and promoting harmony and beauty of this year's Chinese Farmers' Harvest Festival.
This Farmers Harvest Festival project has cultivated students' teamwork skills, innovative thinking, and problem-solving abilities, providing them with a valuable practical growth experience.
