At 11:30 noon on November 9th, the International Institute of Creative Design held a series of laboratory safety education activities in the lobby of the first floor of the Changning Campus Lecture Hall. All students studying at the Changning campus of the International Institute of Creative Design attended this event. The meeting was chaired by Yin Zhijie, the deputy director of the laboratory.
Under the guidance of the School Asset and Laboratory Management Office and Security Office, our hospital regularly conducts laboratory safety education lectures. Coincidentally on November 9th, National Fire Day, Teacher Yin emphasized three aspects: laboratory safety education, laboratory safety facilities, and escape methods and routes. Intended to help students understand the hazards of fires, cultivate awareness and skills of self rescue and mutual assistance, and improve their ability to respond to sudden fire incidents.
At 12:30 pm, students participated in the 2023 119 Fire Awareness Week and the China International Import Expo fire safety series activities in the teaching building 103 of Changning Campus. The activities were hosted by Guo Liang from the Security Department. The police officers of the cultural security system in Changning, starting from the fire accidents that have had a significant impact on universities in recent years, combined with their years of experience in police work, intuitively remind students to always pay attention to experimental safety, adhere to the safety principle of safety first and prevention first, abide by experimental operation norms, and cultivate good experimental habits.
In order to further enhance the emergency response capabilities of students and comprehensively enhance their awareness of fire safety, the post meeting security office provided a detailed explanation of the nature, structure, scope of application, and usage methods of various fire extinguishers in the outdoor area. And let each student personally experience how to use fire extinguishing equipment correctly to extinguish fires.
This event is an important part of our annual laboratory safety education series of activities. Through learning, both new and old students can have a more comprehensive understanding of laboratory construction and safety, laying a solid foundation for creating a safe and harmonious campus.
