In order to enable students to have a more comprehensive and in-depth understanding of Korean, on October 31, 2023, the International Institute of Creative Design invited Dr. Wang Yuheng, a graduate of Shanghai International Studies University, to give a lecture on Understanding Korean with You in teaching building C317. The faculty and students of the college attended this lecture, which was hosted by Professor Li Huazi from the International Institute of Creative Design.
Teacher Wang used everyday language as a starting point to introduce the basic situation, economic situation, cultural life, and internationalization related content of South Korea. This mainly includes the history of South Korea, its cities, major festivals, the number and distribution of Korean language users, and introduces the differences in cultural life and internationalization between China and South Korea.
This lecture has enhanced students' understanding of Korean language knowledge and culture, enriched their extracurricular life, broadened their horizons, and has a positive significance for the university career planning and Korean language learning of students from the International Institute of Creative Design.
