International Institute of Creative Design Hosts Special Lecture for Postgraduate Supervisors

On the afternoon of May 16, 2025, the International Institute of Creative Design hosted a special lecture for postgraduate supervisors in Classroom 302 of the Co-Op Comprehensive Building at its Changning Campus. The event featured Mr. Yu Li'ang, General Manager of Shanghai Wanka Intelligent Technology Co., Ltd., who delivered a thematic report titled New Media Technology Driving the Integration of Cultural Tourism and Rural Revitalization: Current Analysis and Future Trends. The lecture was chaired by Vice Dean Fan Rong, with attendance from the institute's postgraduate supervisors, along with selected postgraduate and undergraduate students.

The lecture focused on the multidimensional integration practices of new media technologies within the context of the media+ era, exploring how new media—driven by AIGC technology—can facilitate the deep integration of cultural tourism and rural revitalization, thereby catalyzing new business models and stimulating fresh momentum. General Manager Yu Li'ang drew upon multiple exemplary cases to systematically analyze the current development status and future trends of the design industry, covering aspects from technological evolution and model innovation to project implementation. The content was presented in an accessible yet insightful manner, offering substantial inspiration and intellectual value, which garnered enthusiastic responses from the faculty and students present.

The lecture served to broaden the intellectual depth and perspectival scope of postgraduate supervisors in their specialized guidance, while also providing students with a valuable opportunity to gain insights into cutting-edge industry trends and technological application innovations.
