On May 8, 2025, the Department of Digital Media Art at the International Institute of Creative Design specially invited Ms. Yan Wen, Founder and CEO of Shanghai Wendu Education Technology Co., Ltd. and an expert in AIGC film production, to visit the AI-Assisted Visual Design classroom and deliver an engaging lecture for the students.
The session centered on Ms. Yan's creative practice in the field of AIGC film production, where she provided an in-depth analysis of the creative thinking, technical application, and innovative approaches behind her works. She emphasized that while mastering AI technology has become essential for every student, the real competitive edge lies not in the technology itself, but in the creator's aesthetic sensibility and creative vision.
During the hands-on session, Ms. Yan Wen shared several highly popular short videos, guiding students to analyze the reasons behind their success. Subsequently, the students worked in groups to conduct conceptualization and storyboard design, utilizing AI software to complete the entire process of creating a short video. With her professional feedback and patient guidance, Ms. Yan helped the students continuously refine their ideas and optimize their works. The classroom atmosphere was dynamic, filled with creative enthusiasm. Through this practice, the students gained a deep appreciation of how AI can rapidly transform creative ideas into visual works, thereby enhancing creative efficiency. However, they also recognized that the uniqueness of creativity and the emotional impact of visual presentation remain core challenges for creators.
