2023 IICD Undergraduate Students Visit Dongseo University in South Korea for Exchange Studies

On 2 March 2025, undergraduate students from the 2023 cohort of the International Institute of Creative Design (IICD) visited Dongseo University in South Korea for an exchange programme.

Dongseo University organised a warm and enthusiastic welcome ceremony specially for the teachers and students from IICD, creating a friendly and welcoming atmosphere. At the ceremony, Professor Jang Juyoung, Dean of the College of Design at Dongseo University, extended warm greetings along with other faculty members. He encouraged students to fully utilise this international platform to actively engage with cutting-edge developments in their professional fields.

During the interactive session, students actively asked questions and discussed topics related to course content, academic resources, intercultural learning experiences, and campus life. Professors patiently answered questions and shared their experiences, encouraging students to take advantage of this international platform and actively explore the latest developments in their professional fields.

Subsequently, an in-depth discussion on postgraduate cultivation plans in Exhibition and Spatial Environment Design was held, attended by Professor Kim Haeyoon, Professor Yang Seongyong, Director of Graduate Studies, Professor Kim Haeyoon, and other academic leaders from Dongseo University.

In the following meeting regarding undergraduate education plans, faculty members from both China and Korea discussed optimising teaching systems, adjusting curriculum frameworks, and future adjustments to course structures.

This visit not only provided students with an immersive international learning experience but also further strengthened the foundation of long-term collaboration between the International Institute of Creative Design and Dongseo University. In the future, both institutions will continue deepening their academic exchanges and educational cooperation, promoting the mutual exchange and sharing of quality educational resources.
