In order to further improve teaching quality and enhance communication between teachers and students, the Department of Visual Communication Design recently organised the 2024 annual teaching summary meetings for both the Class of 2023 and the Class of 2024. The meetings were chaired by Ms Ning Shujia, with all departmental faculty members participating and sharing teaching experiences.

During the meeting, teachers engaged in detailed discussions about their teaching experiences, effective teaching methods, and outstanding examples of student work produced in class. Faculty members not only shared successful practices from their teaching experiences but also carried out careful analyses of students' projects, clearly highlighting both strengths and areas needing improvement. These constructive reviews were aimed at helping students to enhance their design thinking and technical skills.

One of the key purposes of this meeting was to help students better understand their own self-positioning, identify their strengths and weaknesses in design studies, and gain greater clarity about their future development directions through interaction with their teachers.

This review session has strengthened communication and interaction between faculty and students, providing valuable learning opportunities for students while enabling teachers to clearly identify areas for improvement and direction in their teaching efforts. The meeting has not only accumulated valuable experience for teaching within the Department of Visual Communication Design, but also provided strong support for the department's future development plans.

The successful holding of this meeting has enhanced mutual communication and understanding between teachers and students, injecting new vitality into the institute's academic atmosphere, and will undoubtedly have a positive impact on both the department's development and students' growth.
