On November 5th, the International Institute of Creative Design conducted evacuation drills and fire safety training at the Industry Education Integration Building in Changning Campus. The training is chaired by Fu Jia, the deputy director of the laboratory. Graduate freshmen participate in activities.
Fu Jia popularized basic fire safety knowledge to the students, including types of fires, methods of using fire extinguishers, and emergency evacuation essentials. Detailed explanation of the initial disposal methods for fires, including how to determine the fire situation and choose the correct escape route. After the theoretical knowledge training, the students conducted on-site exercises. Simulate a fire scene on campus and set up safe evacuation routes. Students can quickly and safely evacuate to designated safe areas after the fire alarm sounds.
This drill activity effectively improved the fire safety awareness and self rescue ability of first-year graduate students. Several participating students stated that they have learned practical evacuation techniques and firefighting methods through hands-on participation in the drill.
