On the morning of October 21st, the International Institute of Creative Design held a series of lectures on Enterprise Experts Entering the Classroom at J912, the integration of industry and education building in Changning Campus. Teacher Yu Feng from the college invited Ren Chun, the art director of NetEase Games, to give students a wonderful presentation on the theme of The Application of Abstract Thinking in Game Art.
Ren Chun has been working in the gaming industry for over 10 years and has hosted art development for excellent projects such as RO Wonderland Legend Mobile Game, Dragon Valley Mobile Game, Minecraft, etc. He is currently responsible for the art work of the Minecraft project at NetEase.
The speech topic first elaborates on the value of abstract thinking in game design from the perspective of artistic thinking and artistic language, and then uses practical cases from multiple projects to specifically illustrate the application of abstract thinking in game design. In addition, based on his own recruitment experience, Ren Chun told students that if you have won awards in competitions or have your own IP, it will increase your competitiveness in job hunting. Encourage students to participate in professional competitions and accumulate their own works during their university studies.
