The 2024 Digital Media Art (Sino Korean Cooperation) Professional Teacher Student Meeting of the International Institute of Creative Design was successfully held

On the afternoon of October 15, 2024, the International Institute of Creative Design at Shanghai University of Engineering Science held a meeting between teachers and students of the 2024 Digital Media Art (Sino Korean Cooperation) major in the college auditorium. The meeting was hosted by Professor Xian Yan, Executive Vice Department Head of the Digital Media Art Department at the International Institute of Creative Design. The school leaders, Dean Gu Yi and Professor KIM CHONG KI, as well as the teacher teams from both China and South Korea, attended the event together.

Teacher Xian Yan provided a detailed introduction to the training objectives and curriculum system of the Digital Media Art (Sino Korean Cooperation) major, emphasizing the unique teaching mode of the project, especially the advantages of international exchange and cross-cultural cooperation. Teacher Xian encouraged students to actively learn and explore new design concepts and technologies, enhance cross-cultural communication skills, and introduced future learning plans from multiple perspectives.

Subsequently, Dean Gu Yi warmly welcomed the 2024 freshmen in his speech, urging them to be self disciplined, self reliant, confident, and self loving. He also encouraged freshmen to cherish their university time, study hard, and continuously improve their design and innovation abilities. Professor Kim Jong Ki, the dean of the South Korean side, emphasized the educational advantages of China South Korea cooperation and pointed out the importance of an international perspective for contemporary digital media art talents.

This meeting not only helped freshmen better understand the professional course arrangements and future learning directions, but also laid the foundation for them to integrate into the new learning life. Through this activity, students have gained a clearer understanding of the future development of the Digital Media Art (Sino Korean Cooperation) major, enhanced their sense of belonging and identity, and look forward to their comprehensive development and excellent results in the next four years.
