In order to enhance the interest and methods of 2023 undergraduate students in learning Korean and efficiently prepare for the Korean TOPIK exam, the International Institute of Creative Design held four Korean learning experience sharing and exchange events at its Songjiang campus on May 16 and 23, 2024.
The four events were hosted by teachers Li Huazi, Wang Yuheng, and Zhu Zihui, and invited 9 2023 graduate students, including Chen Mengxi, Dai Zhiyuan, Li Zehua, Li Shaobin, Li Yitao, Xu Danni, Xia Runtao, Zhu Tiantian, and Zhang Hengjie, to share their learning experiences and methods. A total of more than 100 students were present to listen.
At the beginning of the event, the host teacher introduced the purpose of the activity and expressed gratitude to the graduate students who shared their experiences in learning Korean. He hoped that the students present could learn from it and find suitable learning methods.
At the exchange meeting, 9 graduate students introduced their learning process of Korean, detailed preparation plans, and problem-solving skills, and recommended some preparation books, learning software, and other learning resources. For the Korean TOPIK exam, they particularly emphasized the importance of memorizing vocabulary and systematically organizing grammar knowledge in actual exam questions. They suggested that students present should keep up with the teacher's pace and take notes in class, and review, digest, and organize knowledge in a timely manner outside of class, without last-minute cramming.
During the communication session, the students present actively asked questions, and 9 graduate students provided detailed answers to the questions raised from various aspects such as daily learning, TOPIK exam process, and preparation based on their own experiences.
This event has come to a successful conclusion. Classmates have expressed that they have benefited greatly and will have more direction and purpose in their future studies. The Korean language learning experience sharing and exchange event has important practical significance for improving the Korean language learning level of the 2023 undergraduate students at the International Institute of Creative Design.
